Renaissance Festival wins the award for the best cultural and historic attraction of the inland Croatia
26.11.2010.At the 12th PUT Travel Market 2011, sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism from 23rd to 25th November in Mali Losinj, the traditional annual awards Simply the Best were presented at a ceremony. The awards are jointly issued by the the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies and the travel magazine Way to Croatia.
The award for the best cultural and historic attraction of the inland Croatia was won by the Koprivnica Renaissance Festival. The award was received by the Director of the Tourist Board of the City of Koprivnica, Mr Renato Labazan.
The professional team of the travel magazine Way to Croatia visited the Renaissance Festival in September this year and independently applied this event to the mentioned competition, without the knowledge of the organizer. At the ceremony in Mali Losinj, they declared the event the winner in this category.
The largest gathering of Croatian business travel agents was attended by 165 representatives from as many as 103 companies included in the system of agency operators, hotel catering and tourism organizations from Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia.
The primary aim of the Travel Market, which is designed exclusively for tourism professionals, is the presentation of new offer of tourist destinations, hotels and travel agencies prepared for the next coming tourist season.
