Mayor Zvonimir Mrsic congratulated the citizens the New Year 2012 and visited the new mothers at the General Hospital "Dr. Tomislav Bardek"

Numerous citizens of Koprivnica saw the New Year in at Zrinski Square in the centre of Koprivnica. At midnight, with the waltz and free mulled wine and tea as well as the festive fireworks, the gift of the City of Koprivnica to its citizens, mayor Zvonimir Mrsic wished all citizens a happy and prosperous New Year.
On the same day, the mayor, accompanied by Hospital Principal dr Gordana Slavetić and dr Katarina Plavec Pavlek visited the new mothers at the maternity ward of the General Hospital "Dr. Tomislav Bardek" and donated them appropriately. Andrea Golubic delivered the first baby on the New Year’s Day, a healthy girl of 2440 grams. In 2011., 943 children were born at the Maternity ward, fewer than the previous year.
