Two valuable books related to local history and tradition were presented on 1 February in the crowded hall of city library "Fran Galovic"
02.02.2012.The books by Dr Hrvoje PETRIC „The border society and environment: Varazdin military headqarters and Krizevci County in the 17th Century "(2012) and Ms Petra SOMEK" Traditional Architecture in the Drava Valley "(2011)have been published by Meridiani Publishers from Samobor. The local origin of the authors and the depicted local themes provide a special value of both publications.
Dr Hrvoje Petric is the assistant professor in the Department ofHistory of Faculty of Humanities in Zagreb. Ms Petra Somek is an ethnology and art history teacher and Director of the publishing house Meridijani.In her book, the author relied on the expertise of local professionals and amateurs Josip Cugovcan, Zeljko Kovacic, Drazen Podravec, Davorin Hecimovic, Zlatko Filipovic, Vjekoslav Prvcic, Dragutin Feletar and others.
